Although the table is too small for the big brunch plates, the waiter found a way to make it comfy and spacious enough to hold our coffee and side orders. Food is good, though its not what I expected for the price we pay. But the overall feel, the ambiance and the aesthetics of the place is already a plus factor in choosing this resto as an ultimate brunch place. I would recommend? Definitely and will be back soon! ”

“ Went to Bar George for their elegant & chic aesthetic but also their simple yet delicious sounding lunch menu. Seated at the bar, the place is really nicely decorated and gives and “old money” type of vibe. We ordered the Hamburger and a Butler Steak. Both took a little bit of time to be served but they were both absolutely worth the wait. They looked, smelled and tasted amazing, but the buns on the burger weren’t strong enough to keep the Hamburger together, but we still enjoyed it nonetheless! Awesome staff. No flaws. (Shoutout to Jonathan at the bar, thank you for the on-the-house Espresso! You’re awesome.) 100% will come back for Dinner! ”

“ We went to Bar George in Montreal to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and had such a great experience. The atmosphere was beautiful with a chill nightlife lounge vibe—classy but relaxed, and perfect for a special occasion. My boyfriend had the beef Wellington and absolutely loved it. It was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. I had the black truffle gnocchi, and it was so delicious. You could really tell the quality of the ingredients and the care put into the dishes. Our waiter was also incredibly kind and accommodating. They knew we were tourists and made us feel really welcome, taking the time to explain things and check in on us without being overbearing. Overall, it was such a memorable night and a great choice for a birthday dinner. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food and a lovely vibe in Montreal. ”

“ Bar George offers a stunning atmosphere reminiscent of medieval Europe—easily one of the best settings in the city. The food is decent, and the service is polite and quick, but the prices are higher overall. Steak dishes are generally excellent, and the truffle gnocchi is delicate but not quite worth the price. The lobster risotto isn’t bad but has a distinct curry flavour. The mushroom soup is rich and flavorful—highly recommended. Most main dishes come with potatoes, so there’s usually no need to order extra sides. Despite glowing reviews, the curry chips lacked flavour, and the truffle mashed potatoes were average. Wine is extremely overpriced—around four times the retail price. Nothing caught my attention this time, so I skipped desserts, which is rare for me. ”

A true delicatesse. Service gets four stars because our waiter disappeared during dessert and was replaced only after we had to look for someone. Service was impressively fast, and our waiter Zachery was an absolute delight. He recommended the perfect dessert and was incredibly accommodating with my non-alcoholic drink requests. “ Absolutely wonderful restaurant and bar, especially if you like jazz. They serve delicious food and drinks, provide a lovely atmosphere with a beautiful interior, have very friendly staff and they play great music. Eating in the bar area to the lovely tunes of jazz classics accompanied by a tasty cocktail knocks this one out of the park. I ate lunch at Bar George right after peak lunch time so there was just the right amount of people there; not too few to make you feel alone but not to many to make it feel crowded, this amount of people is just right for a restaurant like this. ”
